Mingo Swamp Friends meetings are held on the second Thursday of February, May, August and November at 6:30 p.m. at the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. The center is located one mile north of Puxico, Missouri on Highway 51. Anyone with a passion for wildlife conservation and refuges is invited to attend. General meetings last about two hours depending on projects and time of year. Please call Mingo National Wildlife Refuge to verify meeting dates and times. The telephone number is 573-222-3589.

Each summer, usually in August, the Annual Membership Meeting is the highlight of the year. This meeting includes election of officers, discussion of the year's accomplishments, and a pot luck meal. If you love the great outdoors and have a genuine interest in becoming a Friend's member, join us at one of these meetings or simply click on the “How to Join” link below. Being a member can mean as little, or as much, as you have to offer. Some members contribute many hours to various Refuge projects; others live a considerable distance away and donate less time or energy. What's important to the organization is the willingness to be a part of the organization and support the mission. Our organization is totally volunteer. Whatever time and effort you contribute is your decision. We are simply friends looking for more friends. Join us and help us meet our mission together for the benefit of Mingo National Wildlife Refuge.
